Coming to Hindi/ Urdu stations...... I was a fan of 89.1 earlier but it got too boring and the new station 101.6 is more popular so i shamelessly exchanged my loyalty.... but then 89.1 don't have Paikar do they?
Why do RJ's have funny names? Prachi ? Paikar? Charu ! I recently heard a "Soniorita" news presenter too.... and then there's the "Hum hain Roma"
101.6 is the in-thing for all Dubai listeners, new competions, fun RJ's, AJ the RJ is rather silly but fun......... however that "Ramesh the friendly qabootar" kills me.
Gaurav fanticizes Mallika Sherawat all the time and can't get enuff of her in his jokes.
Gagan is quite sensible and a great RJ, and I think he is the most talented among all the RJ's because he writes scripts for plays and acts in them too...The self-promos are terrible, they sound good once, twice, thrice but they insist on playing them 5 times a day everyday for 5 months.... spare us please.
"The borrow milk and cockroach" one is so so so irritiating, the 2 guys who do voice-overs in this clip are terrible and all the recordings they do.... I wanna toss em over from a 5000 storey building.
101.6 needs a new Creative Director honestly. I mean he/she is good...........I'd give him/ her praise for the "Purple dil ke paas tum rehti ho"... the "Laali" promo for the Speed Bash 2006.
The Paikar Jamal, "Paree achi achi baatein karti hai" is good, but please come up with something new now.
Paikar... hmm "main itna hi bolti hoon kyun ke itni hi paise milte hain"............. well Paikar wot can i say about you.... Yum !

I would say Pallavi is the BABE of 89.1 but the Queen is Charu....
Radio stations are however quite boring in the ME, be it English or Hindi, the competitions are so boring. The prizes are so sad. The shows are getting boring like Antakshri and stuff.
A new channel 104.4 (Awaz) has this RJ who sounds so terrible, dunno her name though she does converse with the callers, and there's this other bloke who has some mixed Desi cum European Cum British accent and never makes sense of anything....... dunno his name either.
I hate it when cricket matches are going on that damn Hum FM 106.2 plays the matches live all day.
And the Rj's have some cocky intros and sign offs, like "A-b-h-i-j-e-e-t The Man with the plan" ... why spell ur name out everytime and trust me dude this makes you sound really stupid, you are one of the good RJ's.
But I like this sign off.... "Sobia Khan Allah Nigebhan"...... sensible, practical.
Then well AJ is there but he is meant to be silly....... "See ya later Aligator in a while crocodile."
Think I miss Khabrina Chadda....

hi thats a nice 1..ya i agree with most of the things u ve said.....radio n its RJs play a vital role in our life ,in our mood n evryday well being...
I normally keep switching on between channels ,n i simply love Aroma ,n her morning show....dont know which channel she is ,i believe its Hum 106.2...Shez Fresh N bindaas.......n awaaz n way she carries out the show is commendable....she loses her way at times but whats grt is comes bach rockin whn needed......i vent heard this Name B4 but she has sprayed her aroma in my life.......City RJs get irratating at times....But i like Kritika n energy but gets over at times,,,,n Radio 4 is tooo borin...n can quite guess what the rj is coming up with...

I think to comment upon ABhijeet like this is not fair at all. He is so energetic and i think the ways he says it makes the show so very lively and every evening instead of watching those boring K-serials i would like to listen to ABHIJEET ;THE MAN WITH A PLAN as he really know what stuff to play and makes a dull routine day so lively.... keep it up abhijeet....

We r still listenin to radio , only way to feel n be little interested in This world while driving to work.My taste of RJs changes a lot , but these days the flavour is RJ Aroma, I quite like whatever she says, n specially shes gud in Mixing Information with Fun...Quite what we want every morning .....
